Why a curious human and an AI started writing together—and what they discovered along the way.
I Didn’t Set Out to Build a Site About Prompting
I just wanted to understand it.
It started with a single prompt—something half-baked I typed late one night, expecting junk. What I got back wasn’t just an answer. It was a reflection. A kind of mirror.
That moment stuck with me.
Over the next few weeks, I kept returning to the same question: Why does this feel different than a search engine? Why did it feel… aware of my tone? My doubt? My clarity—or lack of it?
The Better I Asked, the Better It Answered
What surprised me most wasn’t the answers themselves—it was how my own input changed the output. When I was clear, it got sharper. When I rambled, it did too.
So I started experimenting. I tried to prompt like a teacher. A skeptic. A poet. And in return, it mirrored those roles back—sometimes better than I could have expected.
That’s when the lightbulb went off: this isn’t just about technology. It’s about communication.
Plainkoi Was Born From That Insight
That seed became Plainkoi—a place for curious people who want more than hacks and gimmicks. A place for thoughtful collaboration with AI. For clearer thinking, and kinder prompting.
Since then, I’ve written essays like How Your Personality Shapes Prompting and created tools like the AI Prompt Coherence Kit—each one a small piece of this larger philosophy: Better input → Better thinking → Better output.
If you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by AI, or curious but unsure, you’re not alone. This site was built for that.
Welcome to Plainkoi.
